haskell-platform software package provides Standard Haskell libraries and tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install haskell-platform
haskell-platform is installed in your system.
Make ensure the haskell-platform package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep haskell-platform *
You will get with haskell-platform package name, version, architecture and description in a table
